We stayed for 7 days at the resort for a family vacation (8 people & 3 generations). Most people stay for 3-4 days, but we appreciated our extended stay as it allowed us the ability to do all the activities and have plenty of downtime to relax. Our scheduled activities included the blind channel tour, tide to table fishing adventure, helicopter tour to the glacier, and kayaking. All the tours were exceptional and made accommodations for our skill level and varied age groups. Our unscheduled activities included hiking (all the trails), spa (mineral pools and massage), gym, tennis and pickleball, movies & popcorn at the theater, watching wildlife in the bay, hot tubing, pool, video games, chatting etc… We stayed at the marine lodge which was a perfect size for our group. We loved how central the location of our accommodation. It allowed the 80 year olds in our group to be included and dining felt accessible. The food was absolutely exceptional - so fresh, so excellently executed, and so accommodating. The attentiveness of all the staff was pampering . I felt the staff were enjoying themselves as much as we were which adds another layer of wonder and enjoyment. We all enjoyed the snack shack especially the kids.

This is a fabulous resort! The staff are friendly and attentive. They work very hard to ensure a perfect experience. The grounds, rooms, spa and dinning room are meticulously looked after and inviting. Everything was seamless from check in/out, dinner reservations to tours and excursions.

Absolutely stunning place. We stayed for our wedding anniversary and everything about Sonora is deluxe. The people, the scenery, the rooms and especially the food. Staff knew our names very quickly and it was a weekend to remember. Highly recommend the helicopter too! The bike ride up to Florence lake was a little intense, but the ride down was great! :-)

Everything about this place is perfect, the location, the food, the views, wild life, experiences and tours, the rooms, amenities. But one thing that really stands out is the staff. They are very professional, friendly and helpful. I have been to many places and the staff here were one of the most professional and friendly people I’ve ever met

Incredible doesn't even describe it!!. From the food, the location to the overall ambiance, everything is perfection...and if it's not they'll go above and beyond to make it right. Like any all-inclusives if there's something you don't like they'll change it, they even made us a custom Pizza, and a "starbucks" caramel macchiato :) The trails surrounding the resort are so worth the exploration and the extra adventures like kayaking, wale watching, bike riding, fishing etc, are definitely recommened! Eagles, sea lions, seals and wales were all observed on this weekend away and we're counting down the days till we can visit again!!

We spent in the resort 4 days. The location, activities, area of the resort are fantastic. 1.000.000$. you can see activity of ocean animals during tides so close as you can… 5min walk from the accommodations. You can walk in the forest or just relax sitting on the terace with a glass of wine. I want to give our respect to the local guide Nova, she is a big professional. We ordered 3 activities with her and all of them were unforgettable. Now about things that we didn’t like: 1. absolutely tasteless food. 2. very poor service in the restaurant. the first day we sat in the restaurant for 20 minutes and no one gave us even water 3. cleaning service consists from very young girls and they can not clean. every day they forgot rugs and other things in the room. it was unpleasant. In the corner of the our bed the floor wasn’t so clean and no one paid attention on it. All this specified points are not appropriate for a hotel of this level. 4. and we don’t recommend to order in the resort Bear watching tour. It’s very hard to find bears when you have for this only one hour.

We stayed there last week (first week of October 2023), and this all-inclusive resort is absolutely incredible! Highlights for us included: 1) helicopter transfer to and from Vancouver airport provides stellar views of entire set of islands. 2) However, the 2-hour helicopter tour is absolutely worth it, too, as you get to do a glacier walk, and then can fly over the mountains nearby. For us, the weather was gorgeous, so our helicopter pilot was able to ascend to and hover briefly at the the summit of Mount Waddington, which was pretty far away from the resort and is the highest mountain in British Columbia. This was literally once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for us, due to the amazing weather, with absolutely phenomenal views of this region. 3) The grizzly tour was amazing too, where we got to see 5 grizzly bears in the wild, feeding on salmon. For us, getting to view this kind of wildlife puts this trip right up there with our prior trip to Africa for safari. And, the views from the helicopter was even more amazing than what we saw when we visited Patagonia for hiking many years ago. One other highlight included the eco-tour, where we got to see the pristine coastline nearby, and some sea lions and seals, although we were not lucky enough to find dolphins or whales. Activities at the resort are pretty cool too, such as fly-fishing and archery, along with playing basketball, tennis, ping-pong, and the spa is great with hot and cold tubs. The massage was pretty good too. We did not go out on any fishing expeditions, so I cannot comment about that. The food and service is really great, too, and we spent extra to try various cocktails and wines from the extensive wine cellar. We had the same waiter (David) for all 4 nights of dinner, and he was very knowledgeable about wine and was really friendly and informative about things to do in this region of the world. One very minor point is as follows: 1) The gym is pretty good, but I was surprised there was no pull-up bar, but just only a lat pulldown machine. For people who are into fitness, having a pull-up bar in the gym would be great. The gym is stocked with free weights and one large fitness weight machine enabling a pretty good workout for push and pull. For "leg day", there is a part of the machine for leg extension, but otherwise, there is not much there, so I had to settle for goblet squats and Romanian deadlift using the highest weight dumbbells (50 pounds). I don't know how many weight-lifting enthusiasts visit Sonora, though, and I never saw anyone else doing weightlifting for the entire 4 days that I was there (just 2 or 3 people using the treadmill). So, this is a minor point, as perhaps most visitors are too busy doing activities, but for me, some of the "activities" are actually pretty sedentary (such as grizzly tour, helicopter tour, eco-tour), so I really needed to use the gym on those days especially. Anyway, this is given in the spirit of suggestion, in case the resort wants to enhance the gym experience for the future. Overall, this place is amazing, and we hope to go back there someday.

The most beautiful and unbelievable trip I have ever taken. Sonora is a bucket list destination, for sure!!! Its beauty is beyond expectation. Such a place of solitude. Everyone knew me by name every day… The food was out of this world. There resort feels like you’re with family from the time you step off the plane. I cannot recommend Sonora, enough. I hope to return several times in my life.
